The Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2026 was passed by the Lok Sabha on 1 April and the Rajya Sabha on 2 April 2026, amending the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 to give Amaravati statutory status as the sole and permanent capital of Andhra Pradesh.
