R. Praggnanandhaa becomes first Indian to win Norway Chess title

Grandmaster R. Praggnanandhaa became the first Indian to win the Norway Chess title, defeating Vincent Keymer in the final round in Oslo on 5 June 2026 to finish on 18 points, having beaten world number one Magnus Carlsen twice during the event.
